I'm not out to most people because asexuality has felt like a non-thing, not worth talking about. Thanks to your writing (and others'), I've slowly accepted it as more than just a personal, private identity.
I may never get more out than just wearing my black ring (which, dammit, everyone now assumes is an Oura ๐ ), but this post gives me a lot of courage.
It's one of the most important acts, honestly. To live authentically in a world designed to fight back authenticity at every step is radical bravery. It's revolution.
